Man sought in connection with Fayetteville bank robbery

Fayetteville police were seeking the public's help Thursday to locate a man wanted in connection with a Wednesday robbery at a bank west of downtown.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police were seeking the public's help Thursday to locate a man wanted in connection with a Wednesday robbery at a bank west of downtown. 

The robbery at First South Bank, at 705 Executive Place, happened at about 1 p.m. when the man handed a teller a note demanding money. 

The man left with an undetermined amount of money and fled the scene. 

The man was black, described as between 5 feet 7 and 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was wearing a green baseball hat with gold lettering, a black jacket and black pants, police said.
