— Police are looking for a man who robbed a Cary hotel Wednesday morning.

Investigators say the robber was armed with a knife when he entered the lobby of the Hilton Doubletree at 500 Caitboo Ave., near Crossroads Plaza shopping center, shortly before 10 a.m., robbed the hotel clerk and fled on foot toward a nearby Target.

No one was hurt, police said.

The man was described as being white, about 6 feet tall and wearing a black shirt and pants and a white towel hiding his face. He might have had facial hair, investigators said.

Anyone near the area during the time of the robbery who might be able to help police should contact the Cary Police Department at 919-469-4012 or Cary Crime Stoppers at 919-226-2746.

Crime Stoppers pays up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest.

there are break ins almost every day, robberies, etc in cary but they only get reported more often because that is all that happens in cary! unlike durham or fayetteville where those crimes dont get reported because the more violent crimes make the news....cary is not a bad city! its those that come from durham/fayetteville that commit most of the crimes here anyways

Why Does WRAL List a black man who commits a crime "brown eyes and black hair", and a white man in the same role "a white man" ?

I have a friend who monitors the Cary PD's frequency on his scanner.

He says what really happens is much different than what gets reported.

I'll take my chances living in Cary with our police force then live in Durham County or Johnston County with it's "high class" people. And before you go bashing..I am kidding..I am generalizing as any of you that like to comment on Cary here on GOLO. I do live in Cary and love it--if you don't want to live here you are free to live wherever you choose.

I certainly hope that Its the who what is being sarcastic. Cary as an underrated violent town? The police force is not capable of dealing with it? For a city the size of Cary, my understanding is that the crime rate is quite low. There are petty thefts, but I am talking about the serious crimes here. Cary may not have a SWAT team like Charlotte or Durham does, but it is because it is not warranted for the crimes committed. Now don't get me wrong, I grew up and Cary and during that time frame the cops were a bunch of pains and still may be, but being a pain doesn't make them INCAPABLE of doing their job.

People are lame.....grabbing any reason to bash Cary and act like this doesn't happen where you live also.

Wow! Another robbery in Cary? If these robbers are not careful, Cary Town Council might pass another town ordinance that makes it illegal to commit robbery within the town limits, and make violators subject to a substantial fine !!!!!!!!!

Here we go again with the violence in Cary. You Cary people need to get it together and stop the violence. Like I have said so many time. Cary is one of the most underrated violent towns in NC!!! Unfortunately, your police force is not capable of dealing with it!!!
