Man sought after trying to get into Raleigh home

Raleigh police are trying to identify a man photographed trying to get inside a home on Strome Avenue in northwest Raleigh on Oct. 6, 2014.

— Police are asking for help in identifying a man captured on camera trying to get inside a northwest Raleigh home last Monday.

Investigators said a resident in the 10,000 block of Strome Avenue – near Interstate 540 – took the photo Oct. 6 after seeing someone attempting to remove a window screen to get inside.

The picture, released Wednesday, shows a man wearing dark shoes, dark pants or jeans, dark gloves and a red and black long-sleeved hooded shirt.

Anyone with information that could assist investigators is asked to call Raleigh Crime Stoppers at 919-834-4357 or visit its website.

    Did the person atleast call 911 first? Should have called police, then taken the photo if they really wanted to be helpful.
