A 27-year-old man who was shot early Saturday morning while he slept in his Durham apartment has died of his injuries, according to police. 

<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — A 27-year-old man who was shot early Saturday morning while he slept in his Durham apartment has died of his injuries, according to police. 

Darren Taylor was seriously injured at about 1 a.m. when shots were fired into an apartment at 143 Commerce St. Authorities said early Wednesday that Taylor died at the hospital. 

No arrests have been made in the shooting, but authorities said Wednesday it will now be investigated as a homicide. 

Anyone with information about the shooting should call Durham Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.
