— A 22-year-old man was shot Monday afternoon while he was driving on U.S. Highway 1 near Pinebluff, Moore County sheriff’s deputies said.

Curtis Lee Stubbs told investigators he was driving south on the highway near the Currant Street intersection when he was shot once in the left shoulder. He drove himself to Rex’ Mini Mart nearby for help. Deputies found Stubbs’ car had been struck twice in the driver’s door and window.

Stubbs was taken by ambulance to Moore Regional Hospital for injuries that were not life threatening.

The shooting was the second in Moore County in as many days. Cravis Maurice Weathers, 23, was fatally shot in the parking lot of Lowe’s Home Improvement in Southern Pines Sunday. Greggory Michael Bohlander, 23, of West End, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter. Police said the two knew each other and agreed to meet in the parking lot.

Anyone with information about Monday’s shooting is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 910-947-2931 or the tip line at 910-947-4444.

Given that the victim's's vehicle was struck twice - driver's door and window, I very seriously doubt that this was stray gunfire as TheRealThing seems to suggest in his post.

seems to me much more likely that someone was specifically gunning for this guy.

And I agree with Disgusted2010, the condescending know-it-all attitude of the anti-gun crowd is really irritating at time.

At least go to the trouble of reading the article closely (pesky details!) before you start attacking the parts of the Constitution that you don't like.

Nothing to see here folks. The man was just excercising his 2nd Amendment freedom to shoot his gun near Pinebluff. Too bad this driver managed to get in the way of a freedom-loving bullet, but a little collateral damage is a small price to pay to keep our 2nd Amendment freedoms intact!

More power to ya, constitution-loving gun-shooting patriot! Shoot on buddy! shoot on!

Why do anti's have to be so elitist and condescending?
