— A man was seriously injured Monday evening in a shooting outside Los Primos Supermarket in the 1100 block of East Main Street, Durham police said.

Officers responded to a disturbance call at the supermarket about 5:10 p.m., and shortly after they were sent to the 600 block of East Main Street to check on a man who had been shot.

The man was taken to a local hospital for the treatment of serious injuries. Investigators said he was shot outside the supermarket.

Witnesses said a male suspect with a stocky build returned following the shooting to pick up shell casings. He was seen leaving the area in a red pickup truck.

Any other info on suspect? White, black? Stocky means what, fat? Any license plate into on the red truck? Did suspect have facial hair?

I thought it was against the law to shoot somebody without it being self defense? Why didn't that law stop this? I'm so confused, because I thought laws stopped people from doing stuff. If they don't, why are out politicians screaming for more laws?

It sounds like the cops responded to the disturbance call, and then were notified there was a shooting victim a couple streets up.

They went to a disturbance call at the store, then got a SECOND call about a man who had been shot who was found on the 600 block of East Main. Reading between the lines, after he got shot at the store, he somehow made his way to the 600 block. What's your solution to controling the crime?

Wow how sad. I pray that the victim pulls thru, him & his family. Now, are they saying, that the supermarket called 911 about a disturbance at the store but the officers didn't respond until a shooting occurred?! Well, I'm sure this will get brushed off...as it usually does. I wish they would get this all of this crime under control, or like get a grip. It's almost as if they 'want' these things to continuously happen & that's from what "I'VE" seen.
