Man seriously injured in north Durham shooting

A man was injured in a shooting near Hillandale and Rose of Sharon roads around 4:30 a.m. Saturday, Durham police said. 

The victim, whose name was not released, was in critical but stable condition, authorities said Sunday.

Police have not made any arrests and did not have a description of any suspects. No other information has been released.

You guys are acting like this area is waayyyyy out in the country...farmland or something. It's not that far away from "town". I'm sure lots of people travel this area in their day to day business.

The question is the who, what, when, how and why of the story. I'm trying to figure out why this is was even put out without the reporter having further information.

What? Seriously... This is out of town, hardly even anything there but a some houses and a school down the street. (Who cares what the the houses cost)

Gee, thanks! I'll mark that off as ignorance on your part rather than mean-spiritedness. I may be wrong, it could be both. If you wonder what I'm talking about, drive to that intersection some time. It's the entrance to my neighborhood, an eclectic, diverse collection of homes in the $250-400K range and has been since the early 90's. But don't let the facts get int he way of your blissful ignorance.

What the heck was he doing out there? There's nothing out there...
