Man shot near Capital Boulevard in Raleigh

— A 24-year-old Raleigh man was shot in the shoulder outside 2905 Red Clay Drive, near Capital Boulevard, around 10  p.m. Saturday.

Police said the victim, whose identity hasn't been released, walked to a gas station for help. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. His injuries were non-life-threatening.

Police said they have a suspect description but are not releasing it yet. The victim was acquainted with the shooter, police said.

    I saw the emergency response to this- there were 2 of the huge fire dept. hook-and-ladder trucks (why, did they set him on fire too?), 2 ambulances, more police cars that you could count. All this for a single shooting?

    Why didn't they call Chapel Hill and Durham, and have them send all of their emergency response units too? Hey, let's have a party!
