Man shot in Rocky Mount robbery
A Rocky Mount man was shot early Monday during a robbery outside his home, police said.
Posted — UpdatedRaymond Davis, 37, told police that five strange men carrying guns approached him when he got out of his vehicle outside his home on Arlington Street around 2:45 a.m. The men assaulted Davis and stole money from his pockets.
When he tried to run, a gunman fired, striking Davis in the shoulder, police said.
He drove himself to Nash Healthcare Systeams, and police said his injuries were non-life-threatening.
