Man shot in chest in Fayetteville; 2 charged

Two people were charged Thursday afternoon after a Fayetteville man was found with a gunshot wound to his chest overnight.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Two people were charged Thursday afternoon after a Fayetteville man was found with a gunshot wound to his chest overnight.

Christopher Corbin, 28, of the 4700 block of Duncastle Road, was found around 4 a.m. at 703 Elm Street, in the parking lot of Eutaw Shopping Center, police say.

Corbin was transported to Cape Fear Valley Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Police do not believe the shooting was a random incident.

Ricardo E. Crespo, 19, of the 6900 block of Woodmark Drive was charged with obstruction of justice, two counts of possession of a stolen firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to heed lights and sirens.

Andrea Moses, 19, of the 6900 block of Woodmark Drive was charged with obstruction of justice.

Police said they are continuing to investigate and are seeking information about the person responsible for shooting Corbin. Anybody with information is asked to call Fayetteville police at 910-433-1901 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
