The Wake County Sheriff's Office arrested two men Monday in connection with a shooting that injured a man early Monday.

Deputies were called to a home at 5725 Old Smithfield Road, near Apex, shortly before 5:30 a.m. where they found Dynomite Dwight Gooch, 23, shot in the chest.

He was taken to WakeMed, where he was listed in stable condition Monday afternoon.

Authorities said that they do not believe it was random act.

Christopher Calvin Rogers, 24, of 3516 Bakers Alley, Apex, and Terrel Jamal Bankhead, 23, of 105 Braxberry Way, Holly Springs, face charges of attempted murder, attempted robbery and first-degree burglary and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

I like his first name! Totally cool.

Another story with GUNS IN THE WRONG HANDS. When will all this killing stop. I can also bet you it was over nothing.

kimisufu - being a resident of Sunset Ridge, I wish it were.

Too many shootings these days - it was so much better years ago when i grew up -- never heard of such crime

This area is called Feltonville. It has always been considered as part of Holly Springs but is actually outside the town limits of both Holly Springs and Apex. Pants on the ground and God Bless America.
