Man shot in armed robbery at Creedmoor sweepstakes parlor

A man was shot in the chest Monday night during an armed robbery at a sweepstakes parlor in Creedmoor, police said.

CREEDMOOR, N.C. — A man was shot in the chest Monday night during an armed robbery at a sweepstakes parlor in Creedmoor, police said. 

Officers responded to the scene, off Capitol Drive near Butner-Creedmoor Road, about 9 p.m. The man was taken to a local hospital, but his name and condition were not released. 

Authorities arrested Brandon Jamal Sharpe in the incident early Tuesday, charging him with robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault with a deadly weapon serious injury. He was in the Granville County jail. 

Police were still looking for two others. No other information was available.
