FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Authorities released the names Thursday of three people killed in an apparent murder-suicide at a Cumberland County home late Wednesday.

Sheriff's office spokeswoman Debbie Tanna said deputies were called to 8254 Cedar Creek Road, southeast of Fayetteville, shortly after 10 p.m., where they found the bodies of Doris Henrietta Robinson, 80, Lewis Elwood Robinson, 65, and Bobby Joe Bullard, 30.

Investigators said they believe Bullard went to Doris Robinson's home to confront his girlfriend, 25-year-old Loretta Robinson, who is Doris Robinson's granddaughter. When Doris Robinson refused to let him inside, Bullard became angry and began shooting, Tanna said.

Shots struck Doris Robinson and her son, Lewis Robinson – Loretta's Robinson's uncle – before Bullard ran into Cedar Creek Road near the home and shot himself in the head, Tanna said.
