Man shot during Fayetteville gas-pump robbery

A robber shot a man pumping gas at a Fayetteville station early Saturday, police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A robber shot a man pumping gas at a Fayetteville station early Saturday, police said.

The victim was pumping gas at 1913 Ramsey St. around 2 a.m. when a man approached him, demanded money and then shot him, police said. The robber fled the scene on foot.

The victim was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. An update on his condition was not available.
