— A man shot by Fayetteville police during a traffic stop two months ago has died, police said Wednesday.

Lawrence Edward Graham III, 20, was shot twice in the back by Officer Denton Little on Mat 1 when he fled from a traffic stop on Sourwood Drive near Lakecrest Drive, police said. Investigators recovered a stolen gun near where Graham collapsed.

Graham was treated at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and released, but a police spokeswoman said he was rushed back to the hospital Tuesday and died.

It was unclear if his death was related to the shooting.

Shot as he fled from police what did his family think would happen to him. Police lite you up you pull over in a safe spot and show them license registration and proof of insurance officer tells you why you were pulled over. Then you got to court no problem for anybody except your wallet but at least you are able to go home to your family
