Man shot behind Fayetteville convenience store

A man was shot in the arm behind a Fayetteville convenience store Wednesday afternoon, police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man was shot in the arm behind a Fayetteville convenience store Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The victim was standing behind Quick-n-Go Discount Tobacco, 5320 Murchison Road, at about 3:25 p.m. when an unknown person in a black Cadillac sedan pulled into the store parking lot, exited the vehicle, produced a handgun and shot the man, police said. The suspect then fled on Murchison Road towards Spring Lake.

Investigators did not release any further information about the shooting.
