Man shot at Raleigh nightclub

A man was shot twice in the leg in the parking lot of a nightclub along New Bern Avenue around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A man was shot twice in the leg in the parking lot of a nightclub along New Bern Avenue around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.

The victim, whose name wasn't released, was taken to WakeMed with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the shooting involved patrons of Club Passions, 3925 New Bern Ave., and that club security staff intervened in the situation.

Investigators were piecing together the circumstances surrounding the shooting Saturday afternoon.
