— A man shot his wife inside their Knightdale home Saturday afternoon before turning the gun on himself, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

She was taken to WakeMed Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

Officers found the man dead in a bedroom inside the home at 201 Hope Valley Road shortly after 4 p.m. The couple's 14-year-old daughter was home at the time but was not injured, police said.

A neighbor, who did not want to be identified, said she saw the girl run from the home screaming late in the afternoon.

The identities of those involved were withheld while police worked to notify relatives.

No other details were released. Man shoots wife, kills self at Knightdale home Man shoots wife, kills self at Knightdale home

hmmmm, this is a very vague story and has not been updated. There is another website that has some disturbing comments on it that "could" have no merit. Just wondering however....."could" this guy's aim have been that bad to only have inflicted "minor" injuries and then he killed himself or "could" this have been a setup by the other person to appear to be an attempted murder/suicide? I am only considering the idea due to lack of information, as these days, anything is possible....whatever occurred, the condolences are to the child who ultimately is the one who pays if these were her parents.

To the family, he will be missed. We never know but GOD knows best. He was a good person with a kind heart and big smile. A friend that will be missed by all of us at work. Peace
