Man sentenced to death for Farmville triple murder
A Pitt County jury on Tuesday sentenced a man to death for killing three people during a robbery at a Farmville convenience store four years ago.

Antwan Andre Anthony, 33, was convicted two weeks ago of three counts of first-degree murder and armed robbery.
Three armed men burst into the Hustle Mart, at Stantonsburg Road and N.C. Highway 121, on April 1, 2012, and shot the store owner's son, Mokbel Mohamed "Sam" Almujanhi, 16, as he mopped the floor, authorities said. The robbers also shot the owner's nephew, Nabil Nasser Saeed Al'mogannahi, 26, and cousin, Gaber Alawi, 24.
Anthony's lawyers said he suffered from severe mental illness.
The last death sentence in Pitt County was in 2000, officials said. The last one in North Carolina was two years ago in Johnston County.
North Carolina hasn't executed a death row inmate since 2006 because of various legal challenges.
