FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police are investigating the death of a 47-year-old man found on the bank of Cross Creek bank behind a store Monday afternoon.
A man saw the body of Milton Torrey of 425 Washington Dr. while walking along the creek behind the V-Point Super Market at 447 Murchison Road about 12:45 p.m., police said.
Police said they were awaiting an autopsy to determine how Torrey died. They did not disclose whether they considered the death suspicious.
