Pair sought in death of man whose body was dumped, burned near Fayetteville

Deputies are searching for Justin Quick, 20, of the 5400 block of Gilchrest Sands Drive in Hope Mills, and Misty Dawn Burns, 24, of the 500 block of Braxton Boulevard in Fayetteville.

The pair – described by detectives as "persons of interest" in the case – is believed to be traveling in the victim's vehicle: a 2001 silver-colored Chrysler 300 with a North Carolina plate CHN-9446.

The victim was identified as William Ted Foster, 49, of Paddlefish Road in Fayetteville. An autopsy to determine his exact cause of death is pending.

Detectives said a couple driving along Production Drive called 911 to report what they thought was a brush fire in the 900 block of Tom Starling Road. Firefighters were dispatched to the blaze, which was behind a storage building, extinguished the flames and realized there was a body.

Authorities said neighbors reported seeing Quick and Burns coming in and out of Foster's home.
