Man robs Cumberland Road Family Dollar

Cumberland County sheriff's deputies are looking for this man in the robbery of a Family Dollar Monday, Aug. 4. 2014.

— Cumberland County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a gunman who robbed a Family Dollar store, at 3734 Cumberland Road, Monday night.

According to the sheriff's office, the man asked the cashier for a "blunt" wrapper, then showed a gun and demanded all the money from the register.

Deputies and dogs tracked him across the street, but then lost the trail.

Surveillance video shows a thin, black man about 6 feet tall wearing a dark skull cap, sunglasses, dark jacket with a red color and a white T-shirt.

The clerk said the man's gun was also black. 

Anyone with information about the crime or the man in the photo is asked to call the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at 910-323-1500.

    family dollar is different from the dollar store. it's like a dollar general.
