Police were searching Thursday for a man who robbed a State Employees Credit Union branch in Fuquay-Varina, a town spokeswoman said.

<b>FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C.</b> — Police were searching Thursday for a man who robbed a State Employees Credit Union branch in Fuquay-Varina, a town spokeswoman said.

The bank, at 404 Old Honeycutt Road, was held up shortly before 5 p.m. by a white man in his 20s with facial hair. He was wearing a white and green hooded jacket with an emblem on the left side of the chest and blue jeans.

The robber approached a teller and demanded money before leaving the bank on foot.
