Man rescued at Falls Lake dies at hospital
A Middlesex man was outside the designated swim area at Sandling Beach and was having trouble swimming. A boater pulled him from the water.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 19-year-old man who was rescued from Falls Lake on Sunday has died, according to Rex Hospital.
Christian Arredondo, of 11049 Hwy 97 West in Middlesex, was outside the designated swim area at Sandling Beach and was having trouble swimming, according to Phyllis Stephens, public-information director of the Wake County Sheriff's Office.
An unidentified boater pulled him to safety and started CPR, but Arredondo later died at the hospital around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, hospital officials said.
