I was working under my truck just last night with it jacked up. We shade tree mechanics need to take the extra time to ensure we have enough jack stands and tire blocking to prevent this from happening. If you don't have any, get some jack stands. Use the car jack and keep a slight pressure with the jack. Set the parking brake and block the tires.
