Man killed walking on MLK Freeway in Fayetteville

Fayetteville, N.C. — Martin Luther King Jr. Freeway was closed for about three hours early Thursday while police investigated an accident that killed a man.
They said the man was walking near the exit ramp to Bragg Boulevard at approximately 1:20 a.m. when he was struck by a 2008 burgundy Dodge Avenger.
Police did not immediately release the names of either the driver or the person killed.
