Rocky Mount, N.C. — Police in Rocky Mount say they don't believe a shooting that left a man dead and a teenager wounded was random.
Officers responding to 226 Jefferson St. around 9 p.m. Monday found Michael Tavira, 21, dead and the 17-year-old boy wounded.
The teen, whose name police did not release, was in stable condition Tuesday afternoon at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
