Man killed in Rocky Mount shooting

— A Rocky Mount man died Monday night after being shot in a house on Sunset Avenue. Authorities found Jermaine La'Tray Flowers, 20, when they responded to a shooting call at 737 Sunset Ave. around 11:30 p.m.

An unknown man fired multiple rounds into the house, which had 15 occupants at the time, authorities said. One other person was injured. The unknown man, between 5-feet 8-inches and 5-feet 10-inches tall, may have fled on foot after the shooting. Police said a man wearing a blue shirt and dark pants was seen running from the area toward Western Avenue.

    Someone was close enough to see how tall he was and what he was wearing, but not his race? Huh. Do they want tips to find him or do they want to ignore the elephant in the room?

    Ignore the elephant it is.
