Where is the outrage and protest for those that are killed right here in NC? We are more concern what happens in others states when we should be concern for what happens in our own state of NC. Wake up people it could be your love one next. I sincerely hope not.

RIP Dwight. It's amazing some of the comments here. All the assumptions being made from a snippet of a story. I knew this young man and I am heartbroken. My prayers go out to him and his family.

If one is laying in the street & gets run over, is it really "hit & run"?

You have to be kidding me. If you hit a human being for any reason, you don't just drive off.

This area is ripe with drug activity at night so surely there is more to this. Hopefully people will talk soon.

So his friends just left him in the street? Wow.

Friends stated that a physical altercation occurred at a party between him an another gentleman so i'm pretty sure that would explain why he was lying in the street

WHY would you lay down in the street???????? I do not call this hit & run!!

  • Journey985 Aug 5, 2013

While this is a tragic incident, what was he doing laying in the street to begin with and perhaps the driver thought he hit an animal?
