Man killed in Durham one-car crash

Posted January 13, 2013

— A 27-year-old driver died Saturday night when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a tree in Durham, police said.

Jason Chisholm Thresher, of Durham, was pinned inside his 2003 Nissan 350Z and suffered fatal injuries in the single-vehicle crash in the 3700 block of West Carver Street around 7:45 p.m., police said.

Speed was a factor in the crash, but investigators said alcohol does not appear to be a factor. He was not wearing a seat belt.

That's a bad area for deer. I wonder if that might have played a part in the wreck.
