Middlesex, N.C. — Police said a man was killed early Sunday during an altercation at a night club in the Nash County town of Middlesex.
Gregorio Rodriguez-Delgadillo, 27, of Zebulon, was shot five times and struck at least once at the Provocon night club on West Finch Avenue, Police Chief Charles Ferrell said.
Investigators believe multiple people were involved in the altercation, which began among a small crowd at the club around closing time, Ferrell said. The altercation began inside the club and spilled out into the parking lot.
Police were called out at 2:37 a.m. and found Delgadillo's body in the parking lot.
No arrests have been made, and the incident remains under investigation.
Ferrell said that police have been called out before to Provocon, which has a bar and small grill, but those problems were less severe.
