Man killed, another injured in Fayetteville shooting

Fayetteville police have released the names of two male victims who were involved in a fatal shooting on Monday.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police have released the names of two male victims who were involved in a fatal shooting on Monday.

Jaquan McBryde, 19, died as a result of injuries he sustained in the shooting. Paul Coleman, 18, was seriously injured during the shooting and remains at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in critical condition.

Officials had responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Knotty Elm Loop and Bending Birch Lane in the Lafayette Park subdivision at about 5:30 p.m., where they found the two men with gunshot wounds.

Anybody with information is asked to call Detective J. Littlejohn with the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-818-3468 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
