FARGO, ND — Appearing alongside his wife and attorney, the man charged with beating another man outside a downtown Fargo bar appeared on manslaughter charges Thursday morning.

In front of a packed Cass County courtroom, Darren Patterson showed no emotion as this latest charge was brought before him and his attorney, Bruce Quick. The charge stems from a May 27th brawl outside the Ho-Do downtown, and the alleged victim 45-year-old Jamie Grant passed away days later.

Patterson's next court date is set for early October, and he's out on $100,000 bond. Patterson now faces aggravated assault, simple assault and manslaughter charges.
