Man injured in Wake County shooting, reported carjacking

A man was injured in a shooting and reported carjacking in eastern Wake County around midnight Wednesday, according to the sheriff's office.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A man was injured in a shooting and reported carjacking in eastern Wake County around midnight Wednesday, according to the sheriff's office.

Marcus Edward Webb, of Zebulon, was injured in the shooting at 2101 Ruddy Road, off Old Crews Road, according to Phyllis Stevens, a spokeswoman for the Wake County Sheriff's Office.

She said that Webb was treated for minor injuries and released from a local hospital.

More details about the case haven't been released.
