Man, 48, shot during robbery at Raleigh Internet cafe

A 48-year-old man was shot early Wednesday during a robbery at an Internet sweepstakes cafe in north Raleigh, police said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 48-year-old man was shot early Wednesday during a robbery at an Internet sweepstakes cafe in north Raleigh, police said.

According to investigators, Christopher Tyrone McElroy was fleeing the T-T Internet Sweepstakes Cafe on Crabtree Boulevard at about 2 a.m. when he was shot outside by one of two people who had attempted to rob the business.

McElroy was taken to WakeMed, where he was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

One of the people wanted in connection with the robbery fired shots into the cafe, but no one else was injured.

Police are looking for two men in connection with the incident. One stands between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall and weighs about 185 pounds. He was wearing khaki pants, a white shirt and tan hat.

The other man was 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall and was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
