Posted June 3, 2009

— Garner police were investigating a home invasion, robbery and assault that happened at 1418 Old Buckhorn Road early Wednesday.

Three people went into the house and stole cash around 2:45 a.m., police said.

The robbers hit homeowner Christopher Henson, 21, in the head with a shotgun, police said.

Henson was able to provide a limited description of his attackers, saying only that they were men wearing all black with their faces covered.

Garner detectives asked that anyone with information about the crime call 919-772-8810 or Crime Stoppers at 919-226-2746. Tips may remain anonymous, and cash rewards are possible for information that leads to the arrest of the offenders.

We'll wait for more info on this. Not the whole story, for sure. Sounds odd.

"I didn't read anything in this that seemed fishy, what did I miss?"

You didn't miss anything. But you have to read between the lines. The three robbers, in black, only stole cash. Question... how much cash does the typical homeowner have in their home at any one moment? In my house, its probably $100 or less. I rarely carry cash as I use a card for almost everything. These three obviously knew there was a decent amount of cash in the home, if that's all they took. Sounds as though that's all they wanted. How did they know this guy had a decent amount of cash at home? Did they know him? Did they sell or buy from him? That's the fishy part.

only thing fishy is that the offenders are still breathing.

Thank goodness they hit him instead of shooting him!

Well, I'm glad they didn't kill the guy. Hopefully they will be caught before they actually do.
