HONOLULU, HI — "I shot her, the gun is in the safe in my room."

That's what 45-year-old Jonathan Tien told police after he allegedly shot his 49-year-old sister Christina at their home in Hawaii Kai Friday.

He was indicted Wednesday.

After an argument, police reported Tien shot his sister in the leg.

She was taken to the hospital in serious condition and her 14-year-old daughter told police, Tien choked her.

He faces three assault charges and a firearms violation.

Bail has been set a $500,000. His arraignment and plea is scheduled for August 7.
