DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are asking for the public's help to identify a man wanted in an armed robbery that took place May 1 at a Subway restaurant on N.C. Highway 55.

According to investigators, the man entered the business at about 9 :30 p.m., climbed over the counter and demanded cellphones from employees.

He took cash and money from a tip jar and was last seen walking away from the restaurant.

The man was wearing a large wig and wearing a blue T-shirt, gray jeans and black shoes during the robbery. He was carrying a black book bag.

Raleigh police investigators believe the man in the Durham security footage is the same person wanted in three armed robberies in Raleigh during March and April, according to spokesman Jim Sughrue said.

Anyone with information about the robbery should call the Durham Police Department at 919-560-4415 or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.

Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
