Man hurt in Moore County hit-and-run

A 55-year-old man was injured when he was struck by a vehicle late Saturday in Moore County, authorities said.

EAGLE SPRINGS, N.C. — A 55-year-old man was injured when he was struck by a vehicle late Saturday in Moore County, authorities said.

Charles Cooper was in good condition Sunday evening at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill following the hit-and-run, which happened around 11:30 p.m.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol said Cooper was walking along the road N.C. Highway 211 near the intersection with Sawgrass Road in Eagle Springs when he was hit.

Authorities had no information Sunday evening about the vehicle that hit Cooper and ask that anyone with information to call the Highway Patrol.
