The suspects crashed into the man's truck, then hit a phone pole.

"I didn't put it together at that time that the car that hit me was the reason there were sirens behind me," says Joseph Quinlan.

Quinlan's workday on Wednesday took an unexpected turn while he was driving on south Florissant to make a delivery.

"I start making my left turn and this car approaches out of nowhere as I am turning. They hit my front bumper and start spinning out of control about 200 feet into the telephone pole," he said.

Only News 4 was there to see that crash come to end.

"They must have been going 60 to 70 miles per hour," says Quinlan.

Calverton police say the chase began when an officer tried to pull over two men in a car that was stolen and the men didn't stop.

Eventually, Normandy and Ferguson Police got involved before the suspects wrecked at Florissant and Patricia.

"When they jumped out of the car and took off, I thought they were getting electrocuted by the power lines but they kept running," Quinlan said.

Quinlan says the experience is one he won't ever forget.

"I am actually really glad I was making that turn, they could have hit a pedestrian, killed somebody or if that turn was sharper, they could have killed me or themselves," he said.

Quinlan has a concussion, but still went to work on Thursday.

Police say they are still looking for those two men.
