Clayton, N.C. — Calvin Dwight Mitchell, 27, of Clayton, was sentenced Friday to 30 years in prison followed by another 10 years of supervised release on charges he dealt cocaine and crack cocaine in the Smithfield area for about a year.
Mitchell was convicted in May.
Evidence presented at his two-day trial showed Mitchell had nine previous convictions for dealing and sold drugs to several police informants. He also made threats against an informant in July 2012, prosecutors said.
