Man found shot in front of his Raleigh home

— A 49-year-old man was found shot in front of his home Tuesday evening.

Gordon Johnston was discovered on the front porch of his residence at 2405 Britt Drive suffering from what appeared to be a non-life threatening gunshot wound, Wake County deputies said. Johnston was taken to WakeMed.

Investigators did not release further details Tuesday night.

    He is lucky to be alive. Now the police needs to find the shooter and get him off the streets and behind bars.

    Time to outlaw pencils and paper too, because those items maliciously cut and stab people. And cars...they are always causing accidents and such.
    In reality, a gun is no better or worse than a plain red brick...a brick can be used to build a hospital, or it can be thrown through a plate glass window; So, like the gun, it's all up to how the person decides to use it. Please stop blaming inanimate objects for people's misuse of them. Thanks.

    shooting people is already illegal (expect for self defense). laws don't really prevent things from happening.

    Oh those mean little handguns. How dare they get out of the safe, run down the road and randomly shoot people? Then they sneak back before anyone knows they have gone out. Oh those nasty little handguns.

    Yeah, why don't you put together a group to first take them away from all the criminals, oh wait, we have that already, its called the Police, it will never happen, so just quit bellyaching about it!
