<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — Police on were investigating the death of a man found dead Friday morning in the stairwell of a building at 1913 House Ave.

Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene, they said. The building is in a group of two-story, brick apartment buildings near the corner of Burke Street.

Investigators said they knew who the man was, but they withheld his name and information about how he died. They asked anyone with information to contact Investigator S. Pate at 919-560-4440, Ext. 248, or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.
