Garner, N.C. — A man was fatally shot and a woman stabbed early Sunday during a domestic incident in Garner, police said.
Officers responding to 1832 Spring Dr. at about 7 a.m. found three people at the scene, two men and one woman.
One of the men, identified as Randolph Davidson, 32, had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The woman, identified as Kellie Jacobs Harris, 26, had been stabbed.
Davidson was taken to WakeMed, where he was pronounced dead. Harris was underwent surgery and was listed in stable condition Sunday night.
Authorities said Davidson and Harris were in a relationship.
Authorities believe an altercation began inside an apartment rented by Harris before moving outside to a parking lot. The second man, identified as Kyle Jenson, 26, heard the yelling and came outside to investigate, authorities said.
Upon seeing Davidson assaulting Harris, Jenson fired several rounds from his personal handgun, striking Davis, police said.
Davidson ran back into the apartment, where he was later found, while Harris remained outside until officers arrived.
Police said no charges have been filed against Jenson.
