Man dies after Durham triple stabbing

A 23-year-old man stabbed during a fight late Tuesday has died, and two other people who were also stabbed remain hospitalized, Durham police said Wednesday.

DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham man died after being stabbed during a fight late Tuesday, and two other people who were also stabbed were hospitalized, police said.

Police said that two men and a woman got into an argument and then a fight outside in the 1500 block of North Hyde Park Avenue shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Tony Montrel Burns, 23, died from his injuries early Wednesday, police said.

The other man and woman remained hospitalized at Duke University Hospital. Their identities weren't released, but police said they were in their mid-30s to 40s.

The investigation was ongoing. No charges have been filed.
