Man dies after Durham hit-and-run wreck
The 76-year-old driver of a Cadillac who was struck by another car in a chain-reaction three-car wreck in Durham Monday has died, police said Tuesday.

The driver responsible for the wreck fled the scene on foot and has not been arrested.
A man driving a 2012 black Ford Edge – a rental car with New Jersey license plates – ran a red light at high speed on South Driver Street and struck a Suzuki on Angier Avenue Monday afternoon, police said. The impact of that crash caused the Suzuki to collide with a Cadillac, which then crashed into a building at the corner of the intersection.
The Cadillac driver, Weldon Lewis Williams, of Durham, died Tuesday at Duke University Hospital.
The Suzuki driver, whose name has not been released, remains in critical condition.
Police are still searching for the driver of the Edge, and Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to his arrest. He is described as a black man in his early 20s, 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall and about 145 to 160 pounds.
He was wearing his hair in dreadlocks and is believed to frequent the Walltown area.
