Man charged with supplying cocaine to Wayne County

A man who authorities described as a major drug dealer was arrested Thursday after a months-long investigation by the Goldsboro-Wayne County Interagency Drug Task Force.

DUDLEY, N.C. — A man who authorities described as a major drug dealer was arrested Thursday after a months-long investigation by the Goldsboro-Wayne County Interagency Drug Task Force.

Ignacio Lopez Mujica, 36, of 149 Burke St. in Dudley, was charged with trafficking excess of 400 grams of cocaine, conspiracy to traffic in cocaine and one count of maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances. He was being held under a $3 million secured bond.

Investigators with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said that Mujica supplied drugs to the Dudley, Goldsboro and Mount Olive area. Investigators seized nearly 1 kilogram of cocaine, more than $10,000 in cash and several vehicles.

Investigators said they expect to make more arrests in the case.
