Man charged with shooting six at Goldsboro party
A 19-year-old man has been accused of shooting six people during a party at a Goldsboro apartment in May, police said Tuesday.

Jaquan Amand Dennis, of 414 Murray St., faces six counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and 10 counts of discharging a weapon into occupied property. He was placed in the Wayne County jail under a $1.7 million secured bond.
Shots were fired into the apartment of Raimonte Walls, 21, at 404 N. George St. as he was holding a party early May 22, police said, striking Walls, a 15-year-old boy, two 16-year-old girls, a 19-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man.
Police said they are continuing to investigate the case and asked anyone with information to call investigators at 919-580-4217 or Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255. Crime Stoppers gives cash rewards to anonymous tips that solve crimes.
Dennis has convictions for larceny of firearms, larceny over $1,000 and second-degree trespassing, according to state Department of Correction records. He served six months in jail in 2009 and was cited for assaulting a person with a weapon and being involved with a gang.
