FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police said a man was drinking and driving when he set off a chain-reaction wreck involving four vehicles on Reilly Road Saturday night.

Robert Summers, 26, was behind the wheel of a vehicle that rear-ended another vehicle at Reilly and Cliffdale roads shortly before 11 p.m., police said. Those vehicles struck two more vehicles.

No one was seriously injured, police said.

Summers was charged with failure to reduce speed and driving while impaired. Police said his blood alcohol concentration registered more than twice what is illegal.
