— Wayne County sheriff's deputies arrested a Newton Grove man Wednesday on charges of trafficking methamphetamine.

Deputies stopped James Alton Williford, 54, of 309 Clinton St., for a minor traffic violation. After finding probable cause, deputies searched Williford.

The search turned up crystal meth with a potential street value of $42,098, investigators said.

Williford was charged with two counts of trafficking meth and one count of maintaining a vehicle for the sale or production of a controlled substance. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $150,000 secured bond.

They need to check a resident in Merrywood Mobile Home park in that county..very suspicious. It's sad that people would want to destroy their bodies with drugs....hopefully he can get some help.

that drug is so disgusting, I am just completely flabbergasted on why anyone would want to smoke it. It's like if someone wrapped their mouth around a car exhaust pipe, would I want to try that? Uh, no.
